The Coldwell Banker Global Luxury marketing team wanted to create a report with data insights that their luxury real estate agents could leverage in their communications with clients. The team also wanted to reinforce Coldwell Banker’s authority in international high-end property buying and selling, a sector that previously lacked consistent data tracking and analysis.

They asked Alyson and TypeA to work alongside data research, marketing, and communications teams to write and launch the first annual report in 2012. Its success eventually spawned a widely read bi-annual report series in collaboration with the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing (“The Institute”) and Wealth-X, called “The Report,” “A Look at Wealth,” and later, “The Trend Report.” TypeA interviewed experts and worked side-by-side with data research consultants to develop stories and uncover trends that would later garner national and global media attention, generate viral social media buzz, and drive traffic to their proprietary sites. More importantly, the reports created opportunities for their luxury agents to build relationships with their affluent clients and generate new business by demonstrating their market knowledge, along with trends and lifestyle preferences. The Coldwell Banker Global Luxury marketing and public relations teams earned a 2023 Marcom Award for their work on The Trend Report.
